woodrising gallery
Woodrising Gallery is the relaxing venue for the permanent display of extraordinary environmental images by Skye photographer Alan Campbell. The Gallery sits on the outskirts of the village of Broadford in South Skye beneath the beautiful Beinn na Caillich on whose summit (legend has it) lies buried a Norwegian princess.

The collection of images has been created from the unique environment on and around the Isle of Skye to encourage greater appreciation of the spirit of the land and the fragility of our surroundings. The photographs are wonderfully presented in the spacious Gallery where visitors have the space and time to appreciate the images.

Enjoy the images with some of Skye's finest homemade ice-cream and freshly-ground coffee. Wonderful locally-produced jewellery and gifts are also available.

The Gallery is open from the beginning of April until the end of December, Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm , but is closed on Sundays. The Gallery is easy to reach situated just off the main Broadford to Portree road about 8 miles from the Skye Bridge.
