Skye
- The Reality |
You
may have the impression (from this website as much as anywhere) that Skye is a
land of majestic snowy peaks piercing sapphire skies, of turqoise waters lapping
coral sands and of distant islands sinking into the embers of a crimson sunset. Skye is indeed just like that ... ... sometimes. It is best, however, not to forget the mist, the cloud, the midges, the high winds, the cold and of course the occasional spot of rain. Such is the life of the outdoor photographer that we must occasionally endure the worst of conditions in order to find the best. It is often the case that it is the mist which provides that enigmatic atmosphere, the cloud which causes the piercing shaft of sunlight and the cold which initiates autumn leaves to break into their unimaginable hues - the midges however we have yet to find a reason for. So if you are still keen to try and find some of the most extraordinary environments for landscape photography, then you will be very welcome on our workshops - just bring some waterproofs. |
